5 days  course in fixed orthodontics -

This is a personalised one to one course where the doctor can get a detailed course and case discussions with different kinds of cases in my clinic in Pattambi,Palakkad Kerala.You can do bonding banding wire changing in my patient case

  Next dates- 14TH FEB TO 18TH FEB 2012  at PATTAMBI,PALAKKAD ,KERALA                                     

Course fee-Rs 50,000/- includes lecture ,hands on training on 2 typhodonts and with a patient cases to bond band and wiring exercise.Topics are on Beggs ,satraight wire (MBT) and latest techniques

The course modules are

DAY-1   :

 MODULE -1 (9.00am to 1.30pm)

Introduction ;history of Orthodontics;removable / types of fixed orthodontic appliances;growth and development;examination of patient- extraoral ,Intraoral& Functional in detail.

  Hands on/ practicles /demonstration/videos–(2.30pm to 5.30 pm)

1)Clinical examination of patient and orthodontic  models, photographes;patient cases.

2)Placing seperators and banding on typhodont .

 

DAY-2 :

MODULE -2 (9.00 am to 1.30 pm)

Cephalometrics and ceph analysis,tracing  & OPG findings ;model analysis;digital photography;data storing and processing;Case selection-what to do and what to refer.components of fixed orthodontics,Armamentarium-pliers and materials required.

Hands on/ practicles /demonstration/videos–(2.30pm to 5.30 pm)

 

1)cephalometric tracing ,OPG reading 

2)spotters to identify instruments and materials.

DAY-3:

MODULE -3  (9am to1.30pm) Biomechanics of tooth movement.;anchorage - intraoral & extraoral,Preventive orthodontics,interceptive orthodontics,corrective orthodontics;orthopaedic appliances-head gear ,chincap,reverse pull head gear;functional appliances-activator,twinblock,herbst etc. 

Treatment planning Extraction and  nonextraction  meathods;extraction choice ;armamentarium required in orthodontics

Hands on/ practicles /demonstration/videos–(2.30pm to 5.30 pm)

 

1)Bonding brackets & wiring on typhodont .

2)Banding in patient case 

 

DAY-4 :

 MODULE – 4 (9.00am to 1.30pm)

Straight wire (MBT) technique and phylosophy ;bonding,wire sequence,aligning and sliding mechanics ;finishing and detailing;Various types of case discussions  in detaile; retention &relapse;fixed lingual retention ,gingivectomy,frenectomy,CSF.

Hands on/ practicles /demonstration/videos–(2.30pm to 5.30 pm)

1)Bonding brackets & wiring in patient case.

2)Wire changing in patient case .

DAY-5 :

 

MODULE -  5

Mini screws and extra anchorage devices;Mutilated cases,Surgical Orthodontic cases ,Beggs technique 

; interdisciplinary Orthodontics;recent advances in techniques and materials;selfligating, lingual orthodontics,invisaligne .

 Hands on/ practicles /demonstration/videos–(2.30pm to 6.00 pm)

1)Wire sequences and changing  exercises. 2)Materials and instruments identification .3)Fabrication of TPA,Nance button,lip bumper,twin block ,biteplanes etc.

    

*** Theory -(20 hours) in power point ; Hands on - (10 hours)on typhodont ,demonstration ,   videos,discussion .This course Includes 3 lunches,study material,CD of books,materials instruments for hands on& online support after course in trouble shooting,treatment planning
